Leadership Development
We support our clients to explore general leadership issues and those which are pertinent in their organizational context. We help leaders to develop ability to pay keen attention to all issues that people bring up and develop ability to listen to variety of issues and pay attention to details. We help leaders to acknowledge the richness in diversity of skills and orientations within their teams and work with them to create a balance that enables effective performance; enable leaders to appreciate various leadership roles and actions that make leadership effective. In leadership interventions, our clients will explore themes such as leadership effectiveness, facilitative leadership, shared leadership, empowering leadership, leadership accountability and responsibility taking
Governance Support
We support clients to enhance their awareness of the need for good governance and build institutional competence for developing systems and processes for improving governance practices. During the interventions, participants explore themes like empowerment, participation, strategic leadership, inclusion, accountability, success factors of an effective board and criteria for identifying and selecting suitable board members. We support our client to pay sufficient attention to delineation of roles and responsibilities between its organs as well as putting in place consultative, transparent and participatory decision making and work processes towards executing their missions. We support our clients to develop the required organizational structures, systems, processes and culture.
Strategic Management
We support our clients with strategic management training, facilitate strategic thinking and planning processes, facilitate strategy cascade, and conduct strategy review and refresh. We support our clients to develop strategic capability for articulating organizational aspirations, purpose, sense of direction. We support our client in scanning both internal and external environment towards choosing specific direction the organization is supposed to take in order to effectively respond to the factors existing and interplaying in the environment and impacting on the organization in various ways.
Resource Mobilization and Sustainability Planning:
Resource mobilization intervention is designed to support our client to explore the possibilities of various sources of resources and develop their skills for mobilizing resources from the wide variety of possibilities. We support our clients to develop resource mobilization strategies. We deliver trainings to our clients to enhance fundraising and resource mobilization skills that create options for new, diverse, and multiple revenue streams.
Project Management:
We deliver Project Management training to our clients to impart knowledge on key principles of project management and to empower them to become more effective and efficient in their daily work to meet their overall organizational objectives. We support our clients in identifying specific gaps in their current situation that should be addressed to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in implementation of project activities.
Human Resource Management:
The success of organizations depends on the deployment of relevant human resources, skills and experience to articulate and translate the organizational strategy into action. Leveraging our experienced team of human resource management experts, we support our client with recruitments when required, using our best practice methodology. We offer our clients with team building interventions designed to improve working relationships and team functioning such as problem solving, decision-making and conflict resolution that enables the group to overcome any goal-blocking barrier; improve collaboration, cooperation, blend talent, skills and the creativity, time and resource management; produces better, faster results and provide a satisfying and motivating experience for team members. Our team building interventions enhance task achievement, improve quality and accuracy of decisions, enhances morale and spurs individuals to perform effectively at a higher level.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
We support our clients in improving current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact. We support our clients in assessing the performance of projects, institutions and programs. CBLI offer our clients with monitoring and evaluation services specifically in development of M&E systems, plans, theory of change, and M&E strategy. We further support clients in conducting periodic monitoring of project results, and conducting mid-term and final evaluations.
Empowerment for Social Justice:
We do facilitate and develop forums (cohorts) where different actors in the same development field are supported to come together and consult on root causes and effects of issues affecting their development work, and how best they can support each other to move forward. These kinds of cohorts also act as a sensor for new challenges and opportunities in their different areas of operation. They are also a rich source of information for the cohorts and others in drawing on and collectively working to influence social change.
